On joining Swamp Club

I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve joined Swamp Club as a Principal Product Engineer. When I was searching for my next role, I knew I wanted to be in a company that was all-in on AI where I could have a hand in defining how software teams make the most of the new capabilities unlocked by AI. The team at Swamp has been committed to pushing the frontier of building in an AI-centric way from the start.

And then there is Swamp, an automation framework that helps folks build reproducible and auditable automation. Swamp’s primitives and agent skills help you and your agents extract the deterministic parts of your automation into type-safe models and workflows. The extracted workflows don’t require LLM reasoning (or tokens) to re-run and don’t suffer from the probabilistic nature of agent driven action. You can think of Swamp as determinism injection for agentic work.

Swamp can be used to automate just about anything, including CI pipelines. So of course the team here is using Swamp to build Swamp by defining a software factory as a workflow. Optimizing the SDLC and the pipeline that drives it has been a core part of my past roles running engineering organizations. As an industry, we are in a learning phase of discovering how to adapt our processes to take advantage of the capabilities that AI unlocks. So I’m especially excited for the opportunity to use Swamp in this area. Using a small set of well-defined primitives to build a flexible software factory is a great starting place and a perfect fit for Swamp.

I’ve got a ton to learn and can’t wait to dig in.
